Protecting our forests as we transition to renewable plant based systems.

93% of paper comes from trees.

26% of total landfill waste is our own forests in the form of paper.

Hemp is a rapidly renewable alternative and it’s here to stay.

From 2001 to 2019, a total of 386 million hectares of forest were lost globally (in all forest types combined). This loss represents an almost 10 % decrease in tree cover since 2000.

From 2010 to 2060, the global consumption of pulp and paper is expected to double. With paper waste increasing at a similar rate. Increased paper production will also add further pressure on the world’s forests that are already in a critical state and getting worse each day.

1 acre of Hemp can produce as much paper as 4-10 acres of trees over a 20 year cycle and Hemp grows in 4 months, whereas trees take 20-80 years.

What we are doing to our forests is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves
and to one another.”

“Hemp paper is more recyclable than tree paper.”

It is often repeated that Hemp Paper can be recycled up to 8 times, compared to just 3 times for paper made from wood pulp. Our team of experts is on a mission to separate fact from fiction and shed light on the virtues of plant based paper.

“Why use up the forests, which were centuries in the making, if we can get the equivalent of forests in the annual growth of the fields?”

-Henry Ford
